Sexually Transmitted Diseases/Infections (STI) can be a very complex and scary subject for many LGBT young adults.  The following are a list of national links that are very helpful in learning about what each infection actually is, how it is contracted and what to do once you are aware that you have it.   Also, there are a lot of organizations that work to educate the public about how to be as safe as possible when participating in sexual activities.
