Clothes Closet
The Youth Clothes Closet is available for young people between the ages of 14-21.  We are always accepting donations of gently used, fashionable clothing geared toward young people.  Please contact Laura Sorensen, Youth Services Coordinator for more information.
Available from Tuesday - Saturday from 4:00pm-9:00pm.

Dollar Divas
Have a job but still find your wallet empty? Come learn how to start saving at our NEW Dollar Divas financial literacy classes.  You'll learn how to make the bank work for you, set up a budget, and safely use credit. Participants will get cash for completing the series. Sign up with Laura today!
Meets Thursdays from 5:00-6:00pm, starting July 17th

Peer Education Team
Provides training for Gay Straight Alliances and other groups about alcohol, tobacco and other drugs.  For more information, contact Laura Sorensen, Youth Services Coordinator at 248-398-7105 x214.

The Youth Media Project
Attention all writers, poets and artists - The Affirmations Youth Program wants YOU for our new youth media project.  We are looking for submissions, editors, contributors, and visionaries to help create & distribute this monthly teen 'zine, plan and design the forthcoming website and execute the production of a groundbreaking new video project.  Join the Youth Media Project today and be a part of something revolutionary.  Questions, comments and submissions should be sent to Julien Lanway.
Meets the second and fourth Saturday of the month from 5:00pm-7:00pm.

Performing Arts Collective
Shine on or off stage by getting involved with the new Affirmations Performing Arts Collective.  Help produce plays, dance, sing or act with all of your friends at The Aff.  This collaborative group tackles the issues facing our community, and explores them through the performing arts.
Meets every Friday from 8:00pm-10:00pm.

Gender Noise
Gender Noise strives to provide a safe space for LGBTQ and Allied Youth to gain a wealth of skills and tools that will empower them to grow and thrive as individuals.  This will be accomplished through open forum discussion, support group style conversation and community service and social activism.
Meets the second and fourth Friday of the month from 7:00pm-9:00pm.

New! Young Adult Leadership Lounge (YALL)
Safe space for young people ages 18-21 to talk about relationships, school, life, family, and friends in a drama-free zone. 
Meets the first and third Saturday of the month from 8:00pm-9:00pm.

Youth Expansion Program (YEP)
Looking for other LGBT youth? Try YEP Night.  Meet new people and have fun without even trying.  YEP Night is a drop-in space for youth ages 14-20, where you can dance, play pool, listen to music and much more! Come find out what you've been missing.
Offered every Friday 4:00pm-10:00pm and Saturday from 2:30pm-10:00pm.

Youth Services Advisory Board
The Youth Services Program is looking for leaders.  Apply today to join the Youth Services Advisory Board and create the kind of program you want to see.  Advise the Youth Staff, represent Affirmations at community events and get to know the Affirmations staff and board.  For an application, contact Laura Sorensen.

Youth Zone Drop-in
Looking for a fun place to do homework, play games, or just chat with friends?  Affirmations announces drop-in hours on weekdays in our brand new youth space.
Offered every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 4:00pm-8:00pm.
